Carbin Reef, Sagay City

TRAVEL DATE: Multiple Times :)

One of the northern cities of the Province of Negros Occidental is the Sagay City. Sagay City celebrates its yearly festival every March, the Sinigayan Festival. Sinigayan Festival showcases the different marine life that the city has to offer. The city proper is located near the seashore and the richness of its seas are very welcoming and rich in biodiversity.

They actually have the "Museo Sang Bata" which features some marine lives that can be found in their city:

Cebu City

TRAVEL DATE: Multiple Times already :)

I've been to Cebu City and the rest of its outskirt places for quite some time already. As of my latest count, I've been there for 5 times and already visited about 5 - 6 cities and municipalities.

Cebu Province is like Metro Manila in the making and tagged as "Metro Cebu". Its capital City, Cebu City, has been very famous for its Sinulog Festival celebrated every third week of January in honor of their patron saint, Santo Nino. Cebuanos are known to have strong faith and belief in the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Part II: "The Unplanned Trip" Escapade

"The loooong holiday is coming!"

This was the idea that troubled our minds again. Together with my university colleagues, we yearly plan our "unplanned trip" and just enjoy life and what it has to offer.

Well, the mechanics of the trip? Here it was:
1.) Gather a day before at G.A. Towers, on my colleagues' condo unit.
2.) Bring your own laptop or WiFi-enabled mobile phones
3.) Suggest a place / resort to go.
4.) Defend your proposal.
5.) Choose a place and find some resources on how to go there.
6.) Plan for food, budget, itinerary.
7.) All-set!

Davao City

TRAVEL DATES: September 2 - 5, 2012

Backpacking around a certain city has been a long dream of mine. It was in Davao City that I made this dream come true!

Traveler and Backpacker:

Davao City is located at the southern part of the Philippines and is dubbed as the business central district of the whole Mindanao provinces. It is also Philippines' biggest city and I can attest to that because it's not that easy to tour around Davao in just a day.

Island Cove, Cavite

TRAVEL DATE: July 6 - 7, 2012

After a hard day's work, everyone deserves some pampering and relaxation time. Thank God It's a Friday and thank God again because my colleague planned to have his post-birthday celebration during this day. Well his birth month was supposedly June but he opted to celebrate it in July.

6PM and we're off from work. Since our office was located in Ortigas, Pasig City, we rode a bus going to the Mall Of Asia and as expected, it took us around 1.5 hours to arrive, brought about by the ever epic traffic situation in Manila. The bus fare is around PHP 22.

Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte: Kapuluan Vista Resort - Hotel Review

Kapuluan Vista Resort is a peaceful and beautiful resort hotel located along the coast of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte. It's quite surprising that there's a hotel at the slightly "secluded" part of Pagudpud beach that offers one of the best accommodation and amenities in Ilocos Norte.

I am a beach person and I feel relaxed whenever I spend time just sitting on shores. Though at Kapuluan Vista Resort, the beach front was not that good because of the sharp stones and shells, the view of the ocean and as well as the sunset was still marvelous!

Ilocos Province

TRAVEL DATES: June 22 - 25, 2012

We went off to Ilocos Province boarding the 10:30 PM Florida bus from Cubao, Quezon City. The trip was about 8 hours and it was hard to think a lot of activities to do for the 8-hour ride, so I opted to sleep for the whole bus travel. We had two stop-overs going to Ilocos for passenger's bio-break and stretching moments.

Vigan Entrance Ark

6 AM, we arrived at Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

It was dubbed as the Philippine's most historic place because of its famous "PARIS-like" feel and several antique houses. Since we arrived earlier than as planned, and our tour guide c/o Kuya Lee was a bit late too, we maximized our time to roam around Vigan's plaza while there were still few people.

Splash Island, Laguna

TRAVEL DATE: March 18, 2012

Next province down south of Metro Manila is Laguna. It's thickly populated now jampacked with heavy traffic and noisy jeepneys honking all the time. With all the busy life in the province of Laguna, good thing there's still a place to unwind and relax.

Splash Island is a perfect destination for you to go if you're looking for a not-so-far and not-so-expensive outing experience with friends and colleagues. Splash Island is located in the Municipality of Binan (not sure if it has been already declared as a city) , about 30 minutes drive from Metro Manila through bus. Well, the bus fare won't cost you that much though given that it's already air-conditioned.
